We loved the amazing sea views from our beautiful room that was clean and spacious. The restaurant on-site served delicious food, plus, the air conditioning was a relief after our beach adventures. Our granddaughter especially enjoyed the local snacks available.
My kids wished there were more activities for them to enjoy .

The breakfast is just awful and extremely poor! Because of stairs it's very-very-very difficult and hard to get to the hotel. There's a lot of garbage around the hotel because of several ongoing constructions. And finally staff wanted to get money from us for just simple using card- reader on pc, although there's declared that only internet acсess paid. The soundproofing is bad in rooms, so it is very hard to fall asleep because of the music playing on the beach.

The only positive of this hotel is the view and its not even worth the price you pay! I would suggest if staying on Phi Phi to do the viewpoint lookout and take in the amazing view once and then find somewhere else to stay...we ended up moving to Phi Phi Hotel which was in a perfect location and was cheaper than Arboreal Resort.
We are not picky travellers and don't expect 5 star luxury resorts at this price but at the price we paid for the 'top room' you could easily find somewhere better on the Island for the same price or less. The bathroom smelt of urine and the smell just became worse as the weather heated up. The stairs are very annoying, particularly if you find you need to quickly run back to your room for something. The breakfast was ordinary, do not expect a buffet, just the option of toast and either friend, boiled or scrambled eggs. There is a lot of construction being done on the hotel and I felt that the people working on this would give me creepy looks when I would walk by myself...not a very nice feeling. There is no security guard and the stairs are very poorly lit, so I do not feel that this is a very safe place to stay and did not feel comfortable walking back to my room alone at night time. Many other budge hotels on the island have good security, better rooms and good services at the same price. One other thing is that the sound of the bass from people partying on the beach can be heard until the early hours of the morning, so if your a light sleeper thats another reason why not to waste your money on this hotel. We spent nights at Phi Phi hotel and although this hotel was closer to the nightlife and to the beach parties, we could not hear the loud bass whilst trying to go to sleep.

I enjoyed the stay. My stay was real good in their vacation. It was cheap, good sized and on the air con. There were coffee & tea makers and refrigerators upon arrival. Very amiable and affable staff as I wanted.

The amazing views from the balcony made every climb worthwhile.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness left much to be desired, with dust and stains noticeable upon arrival.

We stayed there for two nights, the staff were friendly and nice, the room is spacious and is cleaned on a daily basis and hot shower, safety deposit box, aircon all work properly. The location is great, far enough from all the party noises while staying within easy walking distance from the beach and village, and is right half way to the viewpoint and is just above the tsunami excavation site. We enjoyed the lovely balcony and the cool breezy at that altitude. All in all, the hotel was great value for money compared with other choises on Phi-phi.
Getting back to the hotel means that you have to walk pass some kind of a sewage disposal site which lasts only about 20m but the smell is pretty nasty. And, after a long day of assorted activities the steps to the hotel can be a bit tricky.

The hotel has quite amaizing views over the tonsai oier and the opposite beach.Specially to see the sunset. Room really nice too.Obviously for this fantastic view you have to walk for aproximately 15minutes from tonsai and the las stairs are hard, thanks they will pick your luggage from the pier if you go to kho phi phi by ferry. If you go by speed boat it worth to give them a call to arrange a luggage pick up.

Nice staff. They picked us up from the pier. Loved the room; we had an amazing view of both the beach and the pier. We had one of the lowest rooms; the view was still amazing but we had less steps to go up compared to other people.
Hated the breakfast.

On the day of checkout I purchased a boat ticket from the receptionist. I unfortunately did not check the ticket and when I got down to the dock I was told I had the wrong ticket so I had to purchase another one. I was very annoyed at having this extra expense as there was no reason for confusion. I specifically named my desired location to the receptionist so for this reason I would not recommend this hotel.

That it was in on Phi Phi, the view was excellent as all the steps that you have to walk up to your room actually lead up to the viewpoint and the Tsunami safe point, so that was good.
It has far too many steps and in the heat it is quite a climb to your room. The towels were not the cleanest smell compared to the last place I'd stayed in. I suppose the place was quite nice, but I didn't expect to get to the resort and find that even though I'd booked a twin room for my friend and I to be told it was a double bed as if it didn't matter was not good enough, incorrect booking seems to be a problem. Be careful with this.
